Today marks the 4th anniversary of my beloved teacher & mentor Hank moving in with the ancestors. He has done amazing work here on this planet -he deserves some rest.
It's up to us now... to live up to -and continue sharing -his legacy. Today it was particularly heart-warming to participate together with over 600 people (some of his past students) in this online gathering meant to bring us all together and create the community Hank always envisioned. I feel quite privileged to be part of it, and very grateful to Richard, Cindy and Sarah that, as part of Shared Wisdom organization, are keeping the the Bowl of Light going strong.
My personal journey with Hank's teachings started 16 years ago in New York City. The way it started was very interesting in itself: I was researching Ayahuasca- and one of the very first things that came up online on this topic was Hank's interview, where he was sharing his personal experience with it. Which made me quite intrigued, and my curiosity shifted from the famous brew to Hank's take on shamanic practice. Much to my joy, I learned he was about to teach one of his famous workshops Visionseeker right in NYC. Clearly, Spirit had some plans for me - as from that point on, I had to attend all his workshops, studied all his books. And my life changed profusely, starting with one of the very first journeys when one of my ancestors (that revealed herself as being a Navajo medicine woman) informed me I had to move to New Mexico and create a Retreat Center there. As strange as it may have sounded to my very young, graphic designer self living paycheck to paycheck at that point, I kept the vision sacred and through many trials, tribulations & practical magic, I managed to find the right spot & create the UnU Center 7 years ago.
Now: in order to show my personal appreciation with the formidable gift Hank gave us, I am launching the very first event in the series of workshops Spirit-Mind-Body Integration Retreat, inspired by his teachings. I am co-creating this event with my beloved Sam, my rock, my partner and very gifted practitioner of Hypnotherapy, as well as our dear friend Elie, Doctor of Chinese Medicine. As Hank always said: the rest of the learning has to come from my own soul guides. And so they did.
What I am ready to share with the world today is a very distilled information that came to and through me from my ancestral, ancient Romanian-Dacian lineage, as well as my teachers in this plane of existence. To quote Hank: "Authentic spiritual wisdom is a fluid process (a verb) that shifts and changes as it moves across time, not a set of rules or scriptures (a noun) that is fixed and immutable (i.e. the Sutras, the Talmud, the Bible, the Ku’ran, the Vedas, the Upanishads, etc)."
Looking forward to see y'all on the trail: https://www.unucenter.com/event-list
Aho!
